The White Pine Foundation is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to advancing the principles of good civics and free enterprise.

Our educational programs include the Northwest Liberty Academy where we teach the principles of a Free Society and Free Enterprise; the Treasure Valley Children’s Business Fair where children age six to fourteen years old have the opportunity to experience being an “Entrepreneur for a Day”; and our Crash Course in Economics & Entrepreneurship presented in partnership with the Foundation for Economic Education (FEE).

Lawerence Denney

Lawerence DenneyLawerence Denney serves as the Secretary of State in Idaho, having been elected in 2014. Secretary Denney has served the citizens of Idaho through his many years of public service. Denney has served in the Idaho Legislature, where he served three terms as Speaker as well as Assistant Majority Leader and Majority Leader. Born and raised in the Gem State, Lawerence Denney is an Idahoan who has for a long time fought for Idahoans and their freedoms.

Hon. Justice Daniel T. Eismann

Hon. Justice Daniel T. EismannJustice Eismann was raised in Owyhee County and graduated in 1965 from Vallivue High School near Caldwell, Idaho. He served two consecutive tours of duty in Vietnam where he was awarded two purple hearts for being wounded in combat and three medals for heroism. He received his undergraduate degree from University of Idaho and then graduated cum laude from law school in 1976. Justice Eismann was elected to the Idaho Supreme Court in 2000, and he served as the Chief Justice of the Idaho Supreme Court from August 1, 2007, to July 31, 2011.

Todd Hatfield

Todd HatfieldOwner of Hatfield Log Homes and Idaho Grain & Flour Mill. His Mill was featured on KTVB’s Farm to Fork Series and Log Home Living Magazine published a story of a unique home he built in Yellow Pine, Idaho. He holds a degree in Accounting, Champlain College, VT. Todd has been a leader at the county, district and statewide levels through civic involvement. He skied on the pro-circuit during college and was a river guide in Alaska, the western states, Guatemala and Siberia.

Alan Hodge

Alan HodgeAlan Hodge was born in Moline Illinois, and spent his early years living in the Great Lakes region of the Midwest. Attracted to the Pacific Northwest, Alan moved to Idaho in 1967, where he attended The University of Idaho. Upon graduation with a degree in Business Administration, he immediately received his Commission as a Junior Officer in the US Navy, and served in two deployments in the Gulf of Tonkin during the final years of the Vietnam conflict. After honorable release from active duty, Alan moved back to Boise where he represented Gate City Steel and Pacific Steel service centers in outside industrial sales for 20 years. Alan has been practicing real estate in Boise and SW Idaho since 1994 and is a member, in good standing, of the Ada County Association of Realtors.

Linda Symms

Linda SymmsA long time resident of Canyon County, Linda is an advocate of teaching youth the principles of a Free Market and has been involved in the Treasure Valley Children’s Business Fair where children ages 6 – 14 yrs. experience being an “Entrepreneur for a Day”.
